It has been 22 years since the Republic Act for Animal Welfare created, known as Republic Act of 8485. Most of animals experienced different types of violence from their owner and even not, like; some of them are burned alive, locked in cage with no food, "dog katay" or selling and buying dogs for meat trade, or someone directly inflicting harm to an animal. Based on the Republic Act of 8485 section 6 "It shall be unlawful for any person to torture any animal, to neglect to provide adequate care, sustenance or shelter, or maltreat any animal or to subject any dog or horse to dogfights or horse fights, kill or cause or procure to be tortured or deprived of adequate care, sustenance or shelter, or maltreat or use the same in research or experiments not expressly authorized by the Committee on Animal Welfare" -- it means, we as a human we don’t have the right to torture animals and used them for any abusive acts. The killing of any animal other than cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, poultry, rabbits, carabao, horses, deer and crocodiles is a crime. In addition, based on the Republic Act 8485 Section 1 "Is to protect and promote the welfare of all animals in the Philippines by supervising and regulating the establishment and operations of all facilities utilized for breeding, maintaining, keeping, treating or training of all animals either as objects of trade or as household pets" meaning, animals should be protected and loved by us humans in a way of supervising and regulating the facilities in Animal Welfare. So, we made this petition to help those animals who is currently going through this situation. We put different companies and websites that physically helps the animals here in our website. So, the people that want to help those animals can just go here on our website and pick which company they want to contact to help those animals that needs our help. this is why we kindly want you to sign our petition to help those animals. they need your help, they need our help.
